Toys of yesteryear are some of the best around from Barbie’s to Trivial Pursuit we all remember toys from our childhood many of which are still around today.  I remember the Furby coming out they sold out in a matter of days, everyone was desperate to get their hands on them reminded me of the action toy in the movie Jingle all the Way, with people on a mad dash to buy them in time for Christmas.  Oh and remember the Tamagotchi, the small handheld interactive pet that you would spend hours looking after.

To be reminded of some of these nostalgic toys then watch 100 Greatest Toys with Jonathan Ross on Channel 4 in the UK on Sunday the 19th December at 6.00 pm and repeated on E4 Christmas eve.   A 3 hour show  with celebrities looking back at some of the best toys of yesteryear.
