The Pumpkin Ghost

OK this is really random but a couple of years ago we were cutting our Pumpkin for Halloween as we do every year but for some reason i was compelled to take a photo of the inside don’t ask me why.  Anyways when we looked at the pictures later on look what appeared.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone!

 

If your not doing anything this Halloween then why not have a movie marathon of spooky films,  there are so many movies out there that its difficult to recommend any but Hocus Pocus, Practical Magic and the Witches are always great films to watch over Halloween.

Halloween

 

Can’t believe it’s October already and as it’s the month of Halloween we have changed the background of our blog to celebrate.  These days on Halloween we dress up in spooky costumes, have parties and watch scary movies but Halloween has been around for many many so how did Halloween come about?

Halloween originated from an ancient Celtic festival named Samhain, pronounced sow-in which marked the end of the harvest and the beginning of winter.  The Celts celebrated their new year in November and believed new years eve (31st October) blurred the boundary between the living and the dead and was the one night where the ghosts of the deceased could return to earth.  The festival was made up of bonfires and costumes and masks were worn to impersonate the spirits.  ( Read more )
